For those of you who have read the Keighley news today, it will come as no surprise that they intend closing Postman's Walk........which is in fact a "Walk Keighley" walk. It covers much of old Westgate and has many remnants of our industrial past. Why should they close this lovely walk BECAUSE they say it is not safe for us to walk it. WHY NOT get some of the people on community payback to help clean it up - the local council to add some form of lighting through the area.....and make this the beautiful walk it SHOULD BE. I hope that we can get many of you behind us in making sure this little piece of "Old Keighley" is there for generations to come.....Jan
How many of you agree with me.....

Jan-it is cheaper to close down an area than to restore it, AND -the PC folk in charge these days do not have a feel for the history of the place so it doesn't matter to them. Get the Keighley News on the job and you might get a groundswell of support. Good luck.
