Some time in the early 70's, all pupils of St Andrew's went on a school trip to Belle Vue Zoo in Manchester. Whilst we were there, a bus crashed into the infants playground and did a huge amount of damage to the fences, gates and so on. I seem to remember that the trip had been postponed from a Monday to a Tuesday for some reason and I have always seen this as 'my lucky escape' since the crash apparently happened around lunchtime when the playground would have been full. Does anyone a) recall this incident and/or b) have any further information as to the exact details and circumstances? I must admit that my recollection may well be a little fuzzy!

If it helps, the crash would have been between 1972 and 1975....

Just resurrecting this question because it has come up again. Does anyone have a date for this? Or even a year? So I could look it up in the Keighley News scrapbook. Don't want to have to go through them all to find one article as I haven't the time to do that.
