I believe it made playing cards, and is now occupied by Fibreline

Yes they made playing cards,I used to work there in about 1966. I was a card inspector,a Mr Lazenby was the boss.

I used to go with my dad and my brother Kev in my dads wagon to Waddingtons.We used to load up sheetloads of regect cards, i think they used to go in the coal fired boiler at Sir James Hills mill on Dalton lane.My dad and uncle Nat used to fill their wagon with shovels by hand with coal from the coal dump next to the ambulance station on dalton lane and tip it in the area in front of the boilers.

They also had a very big factory in Leeds.
When I lived in Farnhill our next door neighbours son, David Harris, was a commercial artist. He originated a couple of circular jigsaws for Waddingtons. He also did a lot of illustrating for Grattan Warehouses in Bradford.
