This is important so please read and digest As this is a history forum, by it's own nature it becomes a searchable resource for anyone wishing to find out more, any subject that is discussed becomes a little archive in its own right. For example: If I post a thread about a mill in Keighley then all answers and links to websites in that thread become part of the archive and it can be searched for and found easily using the search function (the button for this is at the top of the page). What I'd like people to do when posing questions is this: If you have a genuine question please create a new thread in the relevant forum. Please don't pose your question in a thread about something else! Start a new thread instead. If you don't know where to start your thread, just put it into the General Forum and Jan or myself will move it if necessary. This will allow us to keep a bit of order which is becoming increasingly important as more and more matters are discussed. Cheers, Andy. Oh. I nearly forgot. Anyone who doesn't do this will be made to go drinking in Keighley late on Friday night wearing a T shirt that says: I like fighting! Come and have a go ...if you think you're hard enough! You have been asked nicely. Don't make me get the dogs out... ;D

Well, we're now over 500 topics and 2,500 posts and I'm concerned that we'll be in a bit of a pickle if we don't try to keep a little bit of order in the way questions are posted. As long as people start a new thread with each new question, I reckon we can keep things tidy enough. ...and I'm still not completely happy with the forum titles, but they're not a problem to jig around if we want to add some more. I've just had another idea for a project... 'Keighley's Best Fighting Pubs'Who's up for a bit of 'hands on' research? ;D oops, did I just go off topic?

My avatar is on the Oakworth Village website which is down because I'm moving from the old server to a new one and so nothing is available at the moment.
