Hi, I would like to enquire if anyone has come across ever any photographs etc of the Leeming Blacksmiths of Sykes Head, Oakworth in the course of any research. I have a couple of photos but not going back very far. Can anyone help at all?
Thanks, Alastair Leeming.

Hi, someone posted me 3 photographs, 2 of the smithy and the leeming brothers and one of the grocers shop that used to be across the road. Brilliant!

Wow! They're fantastic pictures, many thanks to Alastair and yourself for these. I'll be uploading them to some picture galleries in the new website - sometime in the next couple of months... I want to do a history section for the village.
Cheers! ;D

Hi, thanks for posting this here for me. Al. Hi Al. Hope all is well with you Was just browsing and saw this site! Wicked! Does 'Leeming brothers' mean Ellis and Norman, or Milton and brothers. Either way I'm interested in looking, as I am any other pics you have. I remember being at Nana's and her sending me to the shop across the road and she would say "and mind t'royd! There's traffic comes rocketing by". The fact we lived on one of the busiest roads in Bristol and took our lives in our hands on an hourly basis went right over her head lol. Bless her. I keep meaning to come up but the time just goes by before you know it another year has gone! Hope to hear from you soon Al. Much love to all x
