Haworth Old Hall - Monastery with tunnels

Eric was speaking to a lady from Haworth and she reckoned that the Haworth Old Hall was used as a monastery once, and there is a tunnel leading from the hall, up to the church, and a series of tunnels running from the cottages on Sun St to the Hall!

I must admit, I haven't heard about them before, but there again, I hadn't heard about the inderground maze either................Eric

That is news to me Jan. I know it was used for the filming of Wuthering Heights in the 20's, Silent film, my mother watched it being filmed at the time. I also know about the "Ducking Well" that was at the bottom of Coldshaw, but I have never heard of the tunnels.Cheers Bill
