Challenge of the Week - Anyone know where 'Warlawise' is likely to be - It is mentioned in the Kildwick Parish Records of 1739 - Answers on a post card please - maybe not - replies on this forum is better. Malcolm

Warleywise Farm I think will be on Warleywise Lane - but I am not sure just where, will have to look on old map and ask at the Moonrakers meeting on Thursday and get back to you with any info I find out ...

Warleywise Lane still exists. Take the road from Colne towards Carleton (old Skipton Road) Its a turning on the right after the Hare and Hounds, and leads back over to Cowling (It actually becomes Cowling Hill Lane)

From Nutter - I don't need 'an address' I am trying to find one - Given the address was in the early 1800's - and I may have been around then - I can be forgiven for remaining anonymous - the press would have a 'field day' And the prize will be ' helping someone' who wants to know.
