Has any one got any ideas why the local authority (Keighley) would have put my sister and me in a children's home in Patley Bridge (late 1940s early 1950s) rather than one in Keighley, if there was such a thing? It seems a long way from town? And presumably a different authority?

My grandad was a resident in the late twenties and thirties. He told me many stories when I was a child.
