Just a reminder that it's the annual Keighley Agricultural Show this Saturday 5th September at Marley Fields. There are free buses from town and back for anyone wishing to visit the show. Their website is here: Keighley Show Website and it has all the information you need to visit the Show, including the free buses timetable. Keighley and District Local History Society will have a stand there and will be featuring lots of historical information and photographs, and members will be on hand to answer your questions about the displays and any other aspects of the work of the Society. The Society are also sharing the stand space with the Men of Worth Project which will be featuring the work they've done this year, which is the second year of the WW1 centenary so lots of new men are featured in their display. They will also be telling the story of how the Temple Street War Memorial was found on a Keighley street in May of this year and how it was proven to be the missing Temple Street memorial and was recently presented to Cliffe Castle Museum Staff who we hope will reunite it with the Temple Street War Memorial stained glass windows that are already on display in the museum. We hope to see lots of you there on the day and for a change the weather forecast is pretty good this year!
