Now'then.. Ever since the Vine shut down, our 60s watering hole, And that used to be my first stop. When I was visiting Keighley from Leeds, and my first question to the landlord, 'Have you seen owt of Geoff, ( Geoff Baker) every one knew him as NODDY,if anyone knows him, tell him to get in touch, And we can have another few swift ones in the Gardeners or Burlington.. I am enjoying your memories Ingrowlad, thanks. The Vine was my uncle Charlie's (Colgan)local and when I made my first visit back to Keighley in 1982 after emigrating in 1954, he took me there a couple of times. I have to say that the hospitality from the landlords was first class and other locals, friend's of my uncle, went to great lengths to show this visitor from NZ some real Yorkshire hospitality. Happy memories.
