Anyone got memorable tales of their drinking days, mine are around the 70's and 80's when I spent most of my free time drinking in the cav.mentioning no names but I remember standing at the bar in the tap room and looking around at the door as a stranger entered .he was about to order his pint when 2 or 3 of the regular bar properuperers grabbed him and put him face down on the pool table.I thought at that time poor lad he doesn't deserve a beating,I was wrong, out came the scissors and off came his wrangler badge off his denims,he was then told "no offence lad we collect badges".I always wondered why the notice board was full of denim badges.I knew then never to wear them in the cav.

our nights out in Keighley were also during the 70s we went most weekends to the variety club, and the speakeasy and also the Irish club on a Sunday night, if we were having a really good night we would spend our taxi money on an extra drink and walk home to Eastburn
