Thanks Jan - the quaint 1852 map on that site has helped me find where some of my ancestors lived, as the 1906 map that I have doesn't show it.

Yes Jan, it is a very good site with lots of good info on there. It used to have a good forum but it was dropped a year or so ago. I think it got a bit heated with discussions about the infamous Haworth Clampers,and the promoters took it off. I felt this was a shame as there were a number of good posters who have not appeared on this site. The history photos are first class and I enjoy the excerpts from the school journals of long ago.Cheers.
