A photo of keighley gala, not 100% sure, u think its around the mid 50's. Anyone recognise any of the people on the float enjoying themselves? Sent to us by Neville Woodwiss, now in Australia.

Great photo, could the young boy in the beefeater costume be Richard Hartley from the Lawkholme area?

After looking again at an old photo, it could also be either Richard Hartley or Ian Watson. My photo shows them both in this costume around the time of the coronation.

Hi mdob Here is the photo, it has been posted before. Left to right, Mrs Hartley Richard Hartley, Isabella Wilkinson, Margaret Simpson, Ian Watson and my aunt Amy Wilkinson. Mrs Wilkinson was my Aunt Amy's Mother in law who lived well into her 90's, taken outside 19 Eric Street where she lived. Attachments:

Here's both lads side by side. One picture doesn't blow up very well, but I reckon it's still enough to identtify him as Ian Watson, going by the shape of his chin and his ears. Would need to see the other lad first though... ;-) Attachments:

Hi I think I have commented before about the Gala Photograph. It was fro HolyTrinity Church, the beefeater was IanWatson. and the people on the trailer are from L to R Hazel Scrutton, ? Molly Cockroft(Whitcombe) ? ? Linda Ward ? and Pat Spencer. The wagon would have been loaned by Tommy Holmes the scrap dealer. It was one of 2 floats the other being the coronation, they had both been in the Keighley Coronation procession a few week s earlier
