i never went to the Central Youth Club I visited Devonshire St. Youth Club and Long Lee had a good youth club but I most certainly remember the railings round the TownHall Square. On Sundays (following a hectic night at the Mechanics) me and my friends gathered at the top of Cavendish St. and would walk ;'the run' this was down Cavendish St., onto East Parade, up Low St., and back on to North St., the boys would be sitting on the railings and if we were 'lucky' we would get a wolf whistle!! Possibly on the second circuit one could expect to be invited on a date. Those were the days of no mobile phones no t.v. if you had a telephone in your house you were considered to be 'posh'!!!!! Ah yes - I certainly remember the railings round the square..............

Nice one Gladys! I remember well the Cavendish Street run but I wouldn't have been brave enough to give you a whistle! I was just a youngster. Haha! With my mates, we have chatted up a few girls doing just what you mentioned. Memories eh! Cheers.
