Does anyone recall a Mr Elsmore who had an allotment down the
bottom of Sussex Street. It was near to a stable where a man ran
a horse and cart selling fruit and veg.There was also a man who
lived in a hut who was a joiner, he also did models carved in wood.
Mr Elsmore always wore a trilby hat with a large feather in it. This was
around about 1948/50.
