Clough Family.

I cannot get my family tree back on my mothers side any further back than her knowledge. My grandad was John Langroyd Clough born 1940, Bradford/Keighley area, died May 1994 Keighley. Married Eileen Wade in 1972. His father was John Clough 1920-1985 roughly and he was married to a Blanch, born around 1920.
I can find a death certificate and marriage certificate for John, but I cannot find a birth certificate to give his mothers maiden name. I cannot find any birth, death or marriage certificated for Jack or Blanch either.

Births O/N/D 1939 Brd 9b 107 Glenna M Clough nee Terry
Terry Clough mum nee Terry J/F/M 1942 9b 107.

No sign of John L Clough as yet.

Yes!! Thank you! That would explian why I couldn't find him though, as he was know as Jack Clough, but mum has now said she vaigly remembers something about that not being his real name.
I managed to find Glenna and Terrys marriage certificate but its literally like John never exsisted! He married, and died but was never born according ot all the searched i've done!

Hello Corrina, Had a quick look for your John Clough, no luck, but I have found a birth entry for a Jack Clough Dec qtr 1919 North Bierley, Bradford, mothers maiden name Couble, could this be him. A marriage took place at Wibsey Holy Trinity for a George Hullah Clough to a Minnie Couble 24.2.1917. Could send a copy of this marriage certificate if need be. Also a death entry for a Jack Clough Dec qtr Keighley 1982 aged 63yrs, born 15.11.1919. Josie
