Can anyone suggest where this photo was taken? It was taken in Aug 1932 & shows several members of John Laycock's family - he is the elderly man sitting b 1851 Oakworth d 1933 Leeds - outside a shop 'Clara Wearing - gowns, millinery, robes, costumes'. I wonder if anyone recognises the buildings, probably in Keighley, but could possibly be in another West Riding town? Also unknown are the young woman sitting left & the young woman wearing glasses standing. Any suggestions please? Attachments:

If only the camera man had tipped the camera up an inch you would be able to see the street name and you would have had something to go on. You can just see the bottom of the street sign

Looking at the row of shops in the background, there is a canopy and the only shops that I know around here with a canopy is Cavendish Street but if that is correct then this shop would have been overlooking the old mans park,

next time I'm in Keighley I shall have to have a look above the canopy on Cavendish Street and see if it matches up with the picture

Can I blame old age or stupidity. It would not have been overlooking the old mans park it would have been where the entrance to the bus station is so that would make it Lawkholme Crescent
