Having recently visited Keighley for a relatives funeral I stayed with some friends in Hollis Lane.
I was trying to identify where or who the name derives from as there is also a Hollis House and Hollis Cottage.
Are you able to shed any light as to where the name comes from.
Incidentally I am the archivist for Mold & District Civic Society (Flintshire - North Wales) and have compiled an archive (not currently on the web) using CommaNet software so I was very interested and impressed with your WebPages.
