I came across this entry in Haworth Urban district Councils minuites for 23rd March 1933 while looking for something else.
That the offer of Bocking Male Voice Choir to provide two seats for Cross Roads park from Mr Wm Barwick and Mr J Dickinson, 1 seat each accepted.
Has any one heard of Bocking Male Voice Choir?

Hi young fella. Yes I remember it. The choir was a social side of the Bocking Working Mens Club and was still going when I was a teen in the early 50s. You might remember my Uncle Walter down Bingley Road? He was a member of the choir for years. Have a chat with his son Terry who still lives down t'owd Lane! He might remember something or he might have a photo or two. Cheers.

Re the second bit. There were Barwick's living down Bocking just below Rosy Row. I think they called the block Barwick Square and there was a girl my age of that name in my class at Lees school. Further, re Mr Dickinson. I don't remember any Dickinsons in the village in my time but one of the houses at Lees school was Dickinson House so there is a possible connection. Cheers.
