Does anyone remember NICHOLL's Radio Stores, which had a photographers studio over the shop.....this was run by Sam NICHOLLS, who married Nellie SAUNDERS, his brother Jack NICHOLLS married her sister Katie SAUNDERS....they all 4 moved to the US for some time before coming back to England.

Yes I certainly remember Nicholls electrical shop, fairly near the junction of Queens Road and Halifax Road. I think we went there for a radio repiar to our old Cossr when it needed a valve !

Keith Haworth Richard Clarke Hi Jan-- further to the three I sent to Barbara, here is another ( I had to recheck your list !) Taylor's Studio, 32 High Street, Keighley (photo taken 1937. There was another in Haworth who for years had a studio on West Lane. I have photos from there but they are all as postcards. He did most of the Haworth portraits in the late 30's and 40's. My graduation photo, taken in summer 1965 was taken by Frank Wood, and is signed by him
He had a studio on the left hand side going up Oakworth Road from Bogthorn towards Slaymaker Lane

I have just joined this list and noted you were asking about photographers in the Haworth area. By chance I received some old photos of my family yesterday and there was one by a photographer called F. Shuttleworth, West Lane Haworth. I am researching my Sutcliffe family particularly in Haworth should anyone else have that name in their family.  |

I've recently found a Carte de visite photograph from the late 1800s of my great great aunt which was photographed by "Jennings of Keighley & Skipton". I wondered if anyone had any useful information on Jennings or the studio.
I also have a Jennings in the family around about that time so wondered if there may be a link, Ellen Jennings. The lady in the photograph was Ida Murgatroyd, sister of Emma Muragtroyd my great grandmother. She married my great grandfather Alfred, the nephew of George Jacques, proprietor of Waterloo Mills Silsden.
So any local knowledge relating to any of this would be appreciated.
