Hi Jan,
I would be very interested to know anything about The Keighley Hippodrome, as a young girl I went every week with my Father. We saw plays, variety shows, and once a ballet. Later I performed there myself as a member of Irene Ogden's Dancing School. I do Know that it has been demolished,which really saddened me at the time, so any history about it would really be of interest to me. Thank You for putting up this website. I am hoping to eventually get my project started which will be about the theatres and music halls etc in Keighley. I went to ballet & tap dancing lessons, BUT I went to Valerie Farrar in Eastburn. If I can find anything of interest will post it for you. As a member of Keighley & District Local History Society, we are constantly being given photographs and items for our archive, one day someone will turn up. My family played in a lot of the local bands - Ernest CLEWER MD & trumpeter at all the local dances at the Mechanics, Holden Hall etc........also others in my family were the WOOLLEY brothers who were also superb musicians.
If you have any picture we can borrow to scan and return to you that would be marvellous.
