KTC is to grant Honorary Citizenship of the Town to the Yorkshire Regiment
Keighley Town Council is to grant Honorary Citizenship of the town to the Yorkshire Regiment. A ceremony is to take place on Saturday 9 July at 11.00am when a colour party, platoon and drummers will parade from the Drill Hall on Drill Street to the Cenotaph.
The Town Mayor and Parade Commander Colonel Charles Dent DL will inspect the troops and receive a KTC scroll which will be signed by the Mayor on behalf of the people of the town. The troops will then march along North and Alice Streets and back to the Drill Hall.
